Start the MCP server or the web server.

install | register the server with a client: claude and codex go through the client's own CLI (claude mcp add -s project …, codex mcp add …) when it is installed, otherwise the config file is merged (.mcp.json, ~/.codex/config.toml [mcp_servers.sdods], .cursor/mcp.json, .vscode/mcp.json, ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json, .gemini/settings.json); stdio entries launch npx -y @sdods/cli mcp; --file forces the file path, --http-url configures the HTTP transport with the bearer token read from SDODS_TOKEN (never written into the file), --with-playwright also registers the raw upstream Playwright MCP server (off by default — the sdods server already wraps it as browser_*), --print shows the snippet |

serve
sdods serve [--port <n>] [--host <host>] [--open] [--no-scheduler] [--auth-disabled]Starts the Fastify server: REST API, Server-Sent Events, the web UI, MCP over HTTP at /mcp and the cron scheduler. --auth-disabled makes every request a local admin (development only). When no user exists the server prints a one-time setup URL; sdods users create --admin is the CLI alternative.
